Andrew Abrams As a Licensing Agent (with an Industrial Design background) I help artists, designers, and inventors to fine-tune their concepts as well as the presentation materials of their projects, find manufacturers (Licensees), present the project, negotiate the license, manage the license, and help to promote sales of the products based on their concepts. I perform these services either on a fee basis (they earn 100% of the royalty income) ...or on a partnership basis where we share the royalty income. Non-Disclosure Agreements are used for concept reviews as well as presentations to licensee prospects.

Most of my experience (and best licensee contacts) is in the Giftware trade. That would encompass a wide variety of products such as: Decorative Household Items, Trend Products, Collectibles, Toys, Stationery Items, Social Expression Products, Novelties, Licensable Characters, etc. However, I can work in practically any consumer products category (ie: Housewares, Sporting Goods, and Hardware) as well as many industrial categories. Since my education and early career involved Industrial Design and Engineering, I am conversant in many manufacturing areas. My weak zone is chemical, publishing, music, film/video and ultra high tech electronics ...but consumer electronics is okay.
