Brian E. Hill has a Master's Degree in Business Administration, with a specialization in finance. He has worked for a large financial institution, a diversified natural resource firm and a hospitality company. His hobbies are golf and writing. Brian is on his way to becoming an accomplished cook. Hill and Power have written over 100 business plans and reviewed hundreds more. They have advised thousands of entrepreneurs in their search for capital and preparation of their business plans.
They have established a database of over 700 venture capital companies and Small Business Investment Companies which is updated twice yearly.

The 1998, 1999 and 2000 Venture Capital Surveys surveyed over 250 venture capitalists and asked such questions as how many business plans do they receive in a year, what is the most critical factor in their investment decision, how do they find the deals, what is the most common reason they decline to invest, and what is the most critical mistake entrepreneurs make in their business plan. Inside Secrets To Venture Capital is a result of surveying more than 250 venture capital firms over the last three years, including some of the largest in the world. These venture capital firms have made thousands of investments. The book includes interviews with venture capital firms and entrepreneurs who have been successful in obtaining venture capital, as well as hundreds of tips from the venture capitalists themselves on business plans, valuation, due diligence, negotiation, what pitfalls to avoid, and how to get their attention.
Power and Hill have finished their second non-fiction book for John Wiley & Sons Attracting Capital From Angels scheduled for publication in January 2002.
They are putting the finishing touches on a suspense novel about the world of business, Overtime and have written two screen plays, one a ghost story, the other a thriller.
Additionally, Power and Hill have written several booklets, developed the Business Plan Kit and publish the Capital Connection Newsletter and the Southwest Capital Connections Newsletter.
